Hello, we will be going to Cuelbra later this month and are renting a house on the "quiet" side of the island...although I assume it's pretty quiet everywhere, but we will be closer to Zoni Beach, about 4 miles from town. It's an entire house, sleeps 5 or 6, full kitchen etc., we found it on vacation rental by owner.
Here is the link to the house, maybe Tom (the owner) gives a monthly price, I'm not sure, but worth checking out. He also has a SUV of his own that he rents if you need it. Good luck.
