Child seat for car?

My children and grandchild will be visiting us for a week while we're in Culebra this coming winter. The grandchild will be 9 months old. We will be renting a vehicle from Jerry while they are with us. Can anyone tell me if car seats for children are required (legally) in PR? (I know that even if they're not legally required they should be used.)

Arroz,

I asked a mom friend of mine on Culebra, and she says they are legally required.
