Arroz,
The scuttlebutt on Facebook is that (and this is my interpretation from Spanish) the Torres brothers, in order to continue in their quest to help people in times of need (i.e., the ferries are down and out and you gotta get people on an off the island somehow), were contacted by the FAA about their license situation. The situation being that the Torres' have a license to operate charter flights, but not scheduled flights. It appeared to me that there must be some limitation to the number of flights AF can run in one day before the charter license seemingly begins to look like some other type of license, like a scheduled passenger license. Not sure about that interpretation. Anyway, the Torres' voluntarily surrendered their license pending discussions with the FAA. Apparently, Vieques Air Link is in the same situation. Again, this is my probably very poor translation of Facebook comments about the matter, which are obviously already second-hand.
Hope you are doing well!
Happy Diving!
Debbie
