Good morning,
Normally, at any given time there are often ferries being repaired/swapped out. This happens very regularly.
The Culebra II was running yesterday. It may have been down the day before for one run, for example, but is now back up.
Usually there are no cargo ferries on the weekends. They sometimes run one every other Sat. & when things do get full or boats break you may see them at other times on Sat. or Sun., but I would not plan on a vehicle transport for a weekend.
As mentioned, is is generally in violation of rental car agreements to bring a rental on the ferry.
Additionally, as the cargo boats are primarily for transporting all commercial goods & then residents to/from Culebra, it is best to park on the Fajardo side & take the passenger boat.
Best,
Terrie
