Cargo Ferry Culebra to Fajardo Tue-Jul-13th

Hi,

We are planning to drive our vechicle over on the cargo ferry for our trip to Culebra in July (we flew previous trips) and wanted to know how we ensure we make the 7am Ferry on the morning of Tue 7/13 (heard Monday was a holiday). What can we do to ensure we make it (reservations, be there at 5am, etc...).

Good morning,
The cargo ferry gives priority to commercial vehicles & Culebra residents. Having said that, normally, if you will have a rental car, it is in violation of most rental agreements to take your rental on the cargo boat.

Additionally, reservations have to be made in advance & for the month of July, many dates, especially holiday weekends (of which 3 out of 4 are long weekends) may already be booked.

I'd strongly advise against trying to bring a car. You can park in a secure lot in Fajardo or, even easier (as the lots will likely fill up in July, too as it is SUCH a busy ferry traffic month) fly as you have done previously.
