I am relaying thos post from MJ:

I asked some locals if there was a recent fight at El Batey and this is what I was told, along with the confirmation of someone who was there. I don't know if this is the situation you are talking about...but it's what I heard today.
Apparently some young men came over from the big island and got very inebriated at Bahia Marina and were asked to leave, as in kicked out, because they were harassing the females there, verbally and physically.
They moved along to El Batey, where they continued the same behaviour, upsetting people with how they were treating the girls and women there. The fighting did not happen inside El Batey but outside of it.
Is fighting a good way to deal with any issue? Of course not, but when the women of Culebra are disrespected by drunken men, there IS going to be a reaction, and a reaction of this sort should not be unexpected. Fair warning.
Come here, have a great time, but don't get so sloppy drunk that your behaviour sets you up for unpleasant consequences, as most likely, they will occur.
