Tammy, the thing about giving advice to people who want to move to Culebra (or any small island for that matter) is that it's just plain difficult to give that kind of advice in the islands! It's not like you can say, hey, here is a cheap place to live, try here for a job - because we don't always have those sort of things. But somehow, everyone who ends up moving here and staying (and plenty move here and don't stay - it's a different gig, being on holiday and living here) find some work and a place to stay if they want it enough. And everyone has different experiences, so there is no fail safe way to help you out. I don't think it's that no one wants to help you, it's just that we know if you want it enough and that is what is supposed to happen, you'll be here. Taz's advice is good, even if it might sound vague to you. One thing, it's now entering down season. The rotation of places closing and people going away (people who live here and own businesses) has begun. There is less work for the people who are staying open. My best advice is come down again, get to know some people, talk about your desire and see what happens.
Good luck!
