Hello all,
Is it possible to make water taxi arrangements at Flamenco, or are all the "better" ones at the dock in town? We'll be arriving late in the day tomorrow (7/29), and camping (no car) at Flamenco for 4 or 5 nights, may go back into town only after the "witching hour", i.e., after that time when all the publicos & tourist services have left. I've read good thiings about Capt. Jack, Capt. Bob, Guilen, Pat, Taz, and am thinking the glass bottomed boat might be a good option for my teenaged daughter, who's not real big on snorkeling (which, she claims, stems from the rude awakening that came when, as a little girl, she was nipped by one of those cute little sunfishies). Possible to arrange with any of these w/out going into town, and do any of the water taxis leave from Flamenco?
Rereading some older posts, I'm wondering how wise my decision to not rent a car is; given that, on Saturday, we'll go to a remote beach, and will go to dinner a couple times, maybe other interesting spots for a bit on another day, especially if it's rainy (does 60% chance of showers mean it'll shower a bunch, or just that we're very likely to get showered on briefly?), anyhow, should I reconsider & rent something from Jerry? Daughter, so far, won't get on the back of a scooter with me driving, plus not so fun in the rain. Sorry, I know "getting around" has been beaten to death, so I'll go back and re-search. Would be helpful to know, though, if it does actually ran & stay cloudy for much of a day this time of year, or if it's just showers.
Thanks once again for your help!
MJ - if I've read between the lines correctly, you have a store or business in town. Can you tell what & where? Thanks!
