Weather in October

Hello everyone--

My wife and I visited Culebra in March 2007 and are thinking of returning this October (middle of the month). Just wondering if anyone has any general comments/tips regarding the weather on the island around that time of year. I've read that October is one of the rainier months for Puerto Rico in general, but don't know how that translates to Culebra. Also don't know if it means it rains some each day, but not all day, or if there's a good chance we'll be rained out multiple days. With the caveat that I know no one can predict the future, does anyone have any thoughts? I appreciate the help.

P.S. We're aware that October is still hurricane/tropical storm season.

Hola! October should be nice weather. There are always scattered showers here and there throughout the island in general but, for the most, October is usually drier and sunnier, no hot temperatures. I wouldn't worry about hurricanes that late in the season. If they haven't hit by September, we consider ourselves in the clear as far as hurricanes go. However, always expect the unexpected. You never know with the constant climate changes, weather can hold it's surprises. Wear sunscreen, the sun will always burn no matter what time of the year. Be positive and enjoy your vacation! The first time we went was in October. The weather was hot, but the island was empty. That's the beauty of October.
