Hola Marlene! I hope this is not too late, you did write 2 weeks ago...
If it's a rental car, you can't take it on the ferry, your rental contract prohibits it. If it's your personal car you can take it but must make a reservation for it way in advance. I read today that it is recommended that you make the reservation 3 weeks ahead but, I remember last year when I was trying to buy my ferry tickets in advance (over the phone), Fajardo Port Authority said the cargo ferry was booked for the next 2 months. As MJ mentioned, Culebra residents get priority over anyone else. Call ahead and have a back up plan. There is always a mode of transportation in Culebra, even if it means walking. I've read that the fee for taking your vehicle is $15 but it may be more and you probably have to pay for your own ticket. These are Fajardo Port Authority #"s: 787-801-0250, 0251, Ext. 221, 222, 230, 234. Happy travels! J
