You don't spend enough time in the bars then, Michael...we tend to be quite crafty at making our own spectacles and shows. And we are always fair. Well, fair to middlin' at least. Oops, that is an Americanism, sorry.
But I will say, city folk do konw how to put on a good time on the big island. Every year, reading about a festival or craft show I haven't attended, I end up saying...next year, I'm going!
There are fabulous events that go on on the big island, many far from the maddening throngs. But like those people from SJ who have lived to be in mid-life age and just coming to Culebra, I find it hard to get away as well, to visit and enjoy what you were writing about. Silly us. Truly.
