How can I get to Playa Resaca?

I have been in Culebra many times, and I also have been in the heliport couple of times, but how can I get to Playa Resaca?

Here is a link to a map of Resaca (on left) and Flamenco (on right). Have not been to Resaca but understand it is a beautiful beach. Hike down and back is supposed to be tough though.

I have read in this forum that there is a trail from the helipad platform. I have been there a couple of times, but don’t realize that there is a trail. In what specific direction is the way down from the helipad platform?
I know hike down/up should be tough, but that will be part of the fun.

The trail leading to Resaca is off the road that runs behind the airport. You take the road all the way to till it dead ends. There is a small sign and a trail. The hike is a little tough but well worth it! Good Luck

So is the road behind the airport and not the one that goes to Flamenco…
Are there houses at the end of that road?

It is not the one that goes to Flamenco. It is the one on the other side of the airport. Dead ends and then trail is to your left if you pull straight in.

I would not advise swimming at Resaca as I understand the currents can be dangerous.

That’s what I read. There are heavy underwater currents.
