You should also be mentally prepared to have to leave your dive equipment behind to be sent on the next plane. If the passenger manifest is filled and you bring that much weight, they will likely not be able to get everything on the same plane. We have left behind items many times and they have always shown up safe and sound on Culebra. It will inconvenience you and it will be a pain in the rear to have to keep going to the airport to see what made the next plane, but the weight of the plane is imperative to everyone's safety.
As a hard core diver, we always carried our gear with us, but now that I know the two diver operators intimately, I would not do so again. Each has excellent ScubaPro equipment - everything from mask, fins, snorkel to BCs, regulators and wetsuits. If you're diving with Taz, he does not have any smallish fins. I wear a 7 1/2 shoe, and he does not have anything to fit me. If you're diving with Walter & Monika, I think they charge extra for rental gear. I'm not sure whether Taz charges, but I'll ask him today (my last dives for this trip.) :(
Happy Diving!
