Leaseway Car Rental

I have tried to book Leaseway on line and that function no longer seems to be available on their website. A few weeks ago I was on their web site and I could have (and should have) rented a one way rental for $35. Now I call them, because the on line reservation option is not available, and the one way rental is $90. Anyone got any advice on this one?

Im just a poor boy trying to save a few pennies where I can.

Wanted to post our recent experience with Leaseway. They didn't show up at all at the airport. I had 2 phone numbers to call them and they never answered. I went and found 2 others and one was constantly busy and the other wasn't answered. I tried to call them later in the day, but still no luck.

Finally, after about an hour we gave up and rented from Thrifty. The originally quoted me a higher price when I tried to pre-reserve, but gave us a great deal when we contacted them at the airport.

Just wanted you to know our experience.

On the same subject, my fiancee and I hope to rent a one-way car at the airport Sunday afternoon and make it to Fajardo by the evening ferry. But is L&M car rental still in business? None of the numbers I have found for them work. It seems like it's Thrifty and Leaseway--thrifty's quoted rates are more expensive than a taxi and Leaseway is closed on Sundays in Fajardo.

When I was checking into car rental, I contacted L&M. They do not allow drop off in Fajardo. I think there may have been a management change because they said, "We are not that L&M any more."
