Carseat for the drive from SJU to Fajardo

Hi,
I will be traveling to Culebra with my two year old in a couple of weeks. We'll be flying into SJU and taking the ferry to Culebra and was wondering if anyone has had any experience bringing a car seat for the trip from SJU to Fajardo? Do you think the taxis will be willing to wait while we install our car seat or is it a better idea to rent a car one-way (has any one done that)? Any notes on your experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you arew illing to shlepp the seat from up North down here, I am sure you will be able to make the driver wait :) - don't try it in a publico though ..

Thanks, we actually were able to reserve a taxi to meet us at the airport equipped with a car seat...a much better option than dragging ours with us! One week until our trip...can't wait!
