this site has been a great help.
Went Wednesday March 28th - Thursday MArch 29th 2007
My wife and I rented Scooters from JM Rentals/Thrifty Car rental across from the airport. I think if we stayed longer than over night a jeep or car would have worked better... little over 100 bucks with liability insurance!
(btw I almost got divorced over this but I will say by the end of day 1 she was much more relaxed, don't suprise your mate with scooters when they have never driven them before!!!!!)
a day trip is okay to use the publico $3 bucks there $3 bucks back!
Mamacitas for Dinner
Dorado and Fried Grouper yum!
also make sure you try the Shrimp empinada best thing I have eaten in a long while!
Steve the bartenders serves up a mean bushwacker and as always can;t go wrong with a pina colada
Stayed in a guest house Posada La Hamaca just a few short blocks from the dock
less than a $100 for a private room a/c and a shower! private locks are available and snorling eqpmt for $10 rental fee
Flamenco was the most amazing place I have ever been to in my life not that I have been to alot of places but wow we sure did luck out!!!!
also a trip to Zoni beach is well worth it!
on the east side of the island is a scuba beach and a hatching ground for the turtles of the island........
you can see St. Thomas from there on a clear day and wow is it amazing!!
I would have loved to have seen some more shops and more deli style eateries...
wish there was atleast 1 ferry a day between Culebra and Vieques would be nice!
will come back again
never met so many main landers working on this island!
