Flying from San Juan to Culebra

My husband and I have planned a trip to Culebra for Aug. 13-20. It's our first time in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, we are excited. I was wondering about the flights from San Juan to Culebra. It seems to say on the websites for the companies that fly this route that the flights are "on demand." Do we have to make reservations? Also some of the companies seem to only be open during the week according to my guidebook. We are flying into and out of Culebra on Sunday. Any info is appreciated.

Hi we are going this SATURDAY!!!! and I booked our flight with Vieques Air Link and they suggested I book in advance with them. We are flying out of SIG (isla grande airport in San Juan). I know from the website of Flamenco Air it says on Demand flights and since I get myself so worked up I decided to go with an airline I can book in advance. I also rented a scooter in advance from Culebra Scooter Rental. Just to give you an idea, our roundtrip price for the both of us came to a total of 196.00 and we leave at 830 am and the return flight is 430pm.

Thanks for posting the info. My fiance and I will be honeymooning in PR, Aug 13-20th. We are flying to Culebra on Monday, the 14th for a 2 day stay and we need to book our flight. You just saved me from having to dig back through all of info I've been collecting. I hope that you and your husband have a wonderful trip this year, and make sure to tell us about your trip!

Ann-Marie,

I did not mean to leave you out of my posting. Gina helped me with some questions regarding Old San Juan not too long ago. Will y'all be spending the entire week in Culebra? Where are y'all planning to stay? We will be on Culebra on the 14th-16th and staying on Flamenco Beach. Make sure you look through all of the postings, even those on trip advisor (forums). You will find tons of info on everything you need and want. Have fun!
It is exciting just thinking about going, isn't it!! Whenever my work day or wedding plans start to stress me too much, I check out the forum boards and websites for the places we are planning to stay. The pictures relax me and the anticipation just keeps building. - Cissy
