kayaking to Luis Peña or Culebrita

Hi All,

Excited for our trip to Culebra! We're thinking about a kayaking trip to Luis Peña or Culebrita. Any observations about feasibility or safety?

Luis Peña is the easier ride, especially from town. For Culebrita I would really start in Zoni, where you will have a hard time finding someone taking you and the kayaks - unless of course you bring your own, foldable ones:)

I have paddled and rowed around all of Culebra and the surrounding islands. It is amazing but sometimes not for the novice. Ask for currents and calculate 1.5 times the time of going there for your return!
