vieques or culebra?

We are going to Puerto Rico in March and can't decide if we want to go to Vieques or Culebra. We are leaning toward Culebra, but could someone give us their opinion. We are looking for a nice beach and good snorkeling. Other activities would be nice too, but don't have to have them.

**Also, if we stay on Culebra what's the best place to stay for around $100 a night or less. The only requirement are A/C. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may contact in Culebra Villa Boheme, Casa Ensenada, or VIlla Fulladosa, the last one does not have A/C.
There is more activity in Vieques, and several good beaches ( try La Chiva, or Punta Arenas) besides Sun Bay, and Media Luna.
Culebra you have Flamenco, Zoni, and may others, but Culebra has a time lenght to do things larger than Vieques.
That is... In Culebra everything takes more time, a meal, going to the beach, whatever.
I have been visiting both for over 21 years, my choice is still Culebra.

Culebra is wonderful. We've used Vacation Planners to find a place to stay. They're very helpful and you might be able to find an affordable place to stay that includes a basic kitchen so you don't have to eat all your meals out.
