2K and Firaxis Games have announced that Sid Meier's Civilization VII will launch on February 11, 2025, marking the next evolution in the legendary strategy game series, which has sold over 70 million copies worldwide. The game will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Mac/Linux via Steam. It will also feature cross-play and cross-progression.
Revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live, Civilization VII introduces several groundbreaking features. One of the most exciting changes is the ability for players to choose leaders and civilizations independently, allowing for new combinations of bonuses and strategies. The game will also feature a redesigned art style and an innovative Ages system, offering fresh challenges as players guide their empire through different stages of history.
