Thinking about a trip to La Isla Culebra in late-Sep/early-Oct. Where does this fall in the Culebra weather spectrum? What should we expect?

Just noticed your msg.... I posted the same question on 8/28. Have you found out anything? I'm going to check-out some travel books on Puerto Rico. Maybe that will give me some insight. If I get anything definitive, I'll let you know.

Last time I went there in October, it was freezing. There was a major snowstorm and even a tornado. Hello! It is a freaking tropical island in the Caribbean. It will be hot and filled with mosquitoes.

PR is warm year-round; summer 24/7/365. Hurricane season does not end until November I believe, but it's not like they're a daily thing. It is a very active season this year, though.

Even though there are mosquitoes, it's not like it's an epidemic, on you, covering every ince of your body. Nothing some citronella candles and OFF (spray or lotion) can't handle. Also avoid wearing heavily scented perfumes/lotions, which attracts them more than normal.
