Micheal,
Free? Those must have been the good old days before my first visit to Culebra I remember when it was $10/night. And the campground office, long before the kiosks and the paved road, had, what appeared to be live fired an approximately 150 mm. undetonated fired munition round as a door stop. Actually, I think there were a couple of them rifle grooved munitions sitting by the door. We've been staying at vacation rentals lately, but this next trip will be about connecting with simplicity, walking the island , staying at Flamenco, and following the rise and fall of the setting sun.
Tim
PS. Villa Viotette, Casa del Sol, and Villa Pelicano were all great vacation rentals. John and Barb, Debra, and Alex were all fantastic, solid good people to host us during our visits to Culebra, respectively. However, the campground has something so natural to offer, to reconnect with, that it should not be ignored when you feel you and your group are ready for it.
