Travel time to San Juan Airport

Can anyone tell me if taking the 0630 ferry to Fajardo on a Sunday would leave enough time to make San Juan airport for a 12:45 departure?

From what I've been reading, the ferry ride is about an hour and a half. Travel time to from Fajardo to the airport is roughly an hour depending on traffic. I would say based on that, you have plenty of time for an early afternoon Mojito or 2 :)

Yes, depending on when the ferry leaves it takes about an hour or so to get to Fajardo. The drive to SJU is at least another hour or two depending on traffic. So you should hopefully get to SJU around 10:30 am which is two hours early. But I would recommend the 30 minute flight to Isla Grande and the 20 minute taxi ride to SJU. It will probably cost about the same and you will have time to eat, drink and check out the gift shops at the airport.

I am actually staying 5 nights at the Rio Mar on the main land and will have a rental car parked in Fajardo, so flying to Isla Grande would not work, as I will nedd to return the rental to SJU. I am about 80% sure that I am going to go ahead stay the two nights vice only one.
