Golf Cart Rental with Kid??

HI,
Any suggestions for a cheap golf cart rental? Carlos' told me that no kids allowed under 12 years of age. Is this a PR law? Would prefer this cheaper option rather than a jeep. Thanks and look forward to a return to my favorite island!

Hi there, I don't know if it's the law, but I believe it's a policy that they have due to their insurance. However, Jerry's Jeep rents jeeps for as low as $45.00 per day and you can fit up to 4 or 5 people in the jeep. The Golf Carts at Carlos' are the same price.

Jerry's jeeps are old...very old and not nearly as nice as Carlos. I've recommended Jerry's Jeep to my guests and they were pleased with the cheap rental. But be prepared to spend a 30 to 45 minutes listening to Jerry talk about the details of roads, bumps, baden, curves, etc and also non-sense about some bars/establishments around the island. Other than that, go for it.

You have to love the Jerry sermon. And map! And I think a small child could get easily tossed out of the cart.

I agree! We love Jerry and the map is classic. It’ll start making sense after a week! The golf carts are NOT for kids. They are really only suitable for the nice road between Flamenco and Town. Any place else and you're likely to be swallowed by a pot hole! Rent a jeep from Jerry. Even though they are old they are way safer than the carts. For those who know, imagine a cart on the road to Tamarindo! I almost rolled down the hill laughing at that sight! And that was just getting up the first hill!

Another huge Jerry fan here. Forget the jeep and go with Jerry.
