I camp at Culebra every year. What to do depends on what you like. The coral reefs are beautiful if you like snorkling. I'm always on a budget, too. Remember that you have to carry all the stuff from where the van leaves you to the site. This year [in two weeks] I've decided to bring a mid-size colapsible cooler on wheels [From Sam's Club] with me from NJ and bring it to the island empty. Once off the ferry, I'll fill it with ice, beer and soda and bring it to the site. It's also a good idea to bring sizable backpacks. It's a cheap and short trip to town to refill the cooler when necessary. Food? I plan to bring quick foods [tuna, etc] that I'll buy here [they're expensive there] and make a run into town for a hot meal when needed. That's probably the best [and cheapest] way to go. Overall, the most pressing need I experinced was the craving for cold drink.
