Travelling between Vieques and Culebra

Hi!

We're planning to visit in February, and we're wondering if there's a way to travel between Culebra and Vieques without going back to Fajardo. Any ideas?

Hola! You can take a plane if there are enough passengers to fly over between the small islands on that particular day. Otherwise, you'll have to ferry over to the mainland to get to the smaller island. Search this forum for additional info. This question has been discussed before and maybe it will help if you read what other visitors have done. Happy travels! J

Thanks. I checked out the other messages and it looks like it's either fly or go all the way back to Fajardo by ferry. We'd like to maximize our time on the islands so I'll look into flying.

Any recommendations on which air company is preferred? I don't want to cause any controversy...but if you had a nervous husband who doesn't trust aeronautical engineers, which airline would you take? ;)

We took Air Flamenco from Culebra to Vieques in July. They dropped us off on their flight from Culebra to Fajardo. We did not have to make reservations. I went to the airport on Culebra about 3 days before our departure date and was told to come back at 10 AM on our departure day for their 11AM flight to Fajardo. I was told they would not be able to accomodate us on any of their afternoon flights.
