Enough time to make flight at Isla Verde?

Hi,

My wife and I are headed to Culebra in a few days. The airline just made a last minute adjustment to our itinerary. Where we had previously been arriving at 12:20 we are now arriving at 2:14 pm at SJU. We've got a flight to Culebra booked out of Isla Verde for 4:30 pm. Having never been to either airport before I'm asking is that enough time to make that connection? Ty for any replies!

Doug,
Should be no problem but know that you're flying out of Isla Grande, not Isla Verde, just tell the attendant at the airport and they will hook you up with a taxi. The taxi should only take about 20 minutes and is around $15 pp plus $1 per bag, plus tip, although they didn't charge me for my bag. Have a great time.

I'm sure you mean Isla Grande, the small aircraft/general aviation facility, rather than Isla Verde, the suburb where SJU is located. The cab ride is about 15 minutes, so as long as your inbound flight isn't terribly late and you don't have luggage delays (consider all carry-on?) you'll be fine. It isn't a bad idea to program the airline's reservation number into your cellphone, because if you are cutting it thin, you can call them while en route. This may keep them from giving away your seat. Once in the terminal, it is usually only a matter of a few minutes to check in and board.

Ok, sounds like we are gonna be alrite if our flight is on time. I'll definitely keep the airline's res # on hand. Good to know also how much the cab should be.

You'll have plenty of time to make that flight out of Isla Grande. Just returned today from Culebra, and we left SJU airport at 3:30 p.m. after getting our luggage, and the drive is about 15 minutes to Isla Grande. Our flight out of Isla Grande was at 4:30, and we finally got off the ground about 5:30 (change of planes last minute).

Had a wonderful time while we were there! Look for rain in the mornings and some days during the afternoon. Jan/Feb is rain season. :(
