International vs Isla Grande?

We tried last night to make our flight from San Juan to Culebra for next February, and it appears that nearly all of the flights to Culebra are out of Isla Grande now, instead of San Juan International. Was there a change in regulations? Does anyone have experience in how best to get from SJI to Isla Grande, how much it costs and how long it takes?

Hi Terri,

I think you will find that you will love Isla Grande ten times more than SJU. SIG is about 5-10 minutes from the pier in OLD SAN JUAN. A cab can get you there no problem just tell tem Isla Grande Airport and they will take you right there. Usually my husband and I take the cab to Cristo Street and for the both of us and our luggage (2 pieces per person) we pay 20 dollars. When we flew from Isla Grande we caught the cab from Cristo Street again and it was like 10 dollars if that and about 10 minutes to get us there (but we were in rush hour traffic). Hope this helps.

Isla Grande doesn't have any confusion like SJU. One way in and one way out.

Terri? Is this the same Terri that was there last February and stayed in a house with some friends? Or is this a different Terri?
