I have a couple of questions regarding the Fajardo passenger-only ferry and would appreciate any information you can share. We are planning on being down that way from April 1 to April 15. (Which I realize may cause some issues since it's so close to Easter).
- Are the ferry schedules reliable?
- Do they generally sell out or can you show up and get a ticket on day of departure?
- Overall, is it worth it to take the air shuttle from Fajardo (or even San Juan) even though it costs a bit more?
- Regarding the ferry from Fajardo to U.S. Virgin Islands and back: Do you know what schedule this runs on and how crowded it gets? (I've seen varying information on the web, and when they say "every other" Friday or whatever, I'm not sure how that translates to the dates in April when we'll be down there).
- Would it be perhaps better to fly to the Virgin Islands from either Culebra or Fajardo?
Thanks. We are looking forward to Culebra. I have heard nothing but great things about it.
