The ferry is for the vieques workers coming to Culebra to work. If there's no workers they don't run the ferry. This past Monday they didn't have any workers so it didn't run. My wife planned on taking it, but had to fly. If it is a regular work week the ferry should run Mon, Wed, Friday from Vieques to Culebra in the morning and then Culebra to Vieques and back to Culebra in the afternoon. It doesn't run on time, because if some workers are late they wait for them. Tues and Thursday it comes from Vieques to Culebra in the morning and then goes to Fajardo and there's no ferry from Vieques to Culebra in the afternoon. It is only $40 to fly one way from Culebra to Fajardo to Vieques. You can also check with Vieques Air Link. They have flights on occasion direct to Vieques and vice versa, but not on a schedule. The last option is call Matt with Air Flamenco. We called him this past wed. because we needed to get from Vieques to Culebra. I ask if he was chartering anyone to vieques that day and he was. He charged us $150 from Vieques to Culebra because he was already there and culebra was not really out of the way back to san juan. He can take up to 5 people. It was cheaper and faster flying him that time than flying four people to fajardo and then to culebra. The final resort is ferry to fajardo and then to vieques. Sorry the answer were not more concrete, but thats the way things work down here.
