surfing on culebra?

Hi -

My friends and I are going to visit Culebra on Jan 3rd and 4th for the first time. Can anyone tell me is there any good surfing place on the island? Is Jan 3rd and 4th a good time for surfing?

Or should we not surf at all? Actually we are deciding between going spearfishing and surfing.

As a beginner, any information is welcome!!!

Normally the best swells are on the north to northeast coast. You can ask at the Dinghy Dock.
The proprietor is a surfer and knows the secrets.

Be SURE to check out the Fish and Wildlife Wildlife Preserve boundaries and regulations. No fishing
of any kind is allowed within the boundaries.
