To follow up and offer another perspective.
We had a lovely visit there, as we always do. I ran mostly on beaches, often many times back and forth.
Terrie, I greatly respect your opinion and your dedication, but there's no way I'd run on the road to Zoni. The first morning we were there, we drove from Zoni into town about 7:30, and we passed a runner coming toward us as we approached a curve. It may have been you - wearing earphones. As we moved left to give the runner room, we got around the curve to see a car speeding toward us (at probably 35-40 mph), in the middle of the road, and not slowing down or moving left at all. I doubt the runner had any idea that this was happening since it was behind her and she had earphones.
As much as I'd love to run that path, I don't trust the drivers at all. While the road to Flamenco is more heavily traveled, it's also wider and with more of a shoulder. But it's shorter, too.
I thought I'd come back and offer my opinion, too. I appreciate your input, and I wish you well running on Culebra.
