Air Service from Vieques to Culebra

Has anyone had any luck getting air service from Vieques to Culebra? I cannot afford to do the $600 charter flight and it seems like Flemenco is still Charter only. We used Isla Nena before but it sounds like they are out also. Checked into water taxi but 450 is still a bit spendy.

Any help would be appreciated. We just need one way on Feb 3rd...all other arrangements have been made.

Culebra Air is $300 one way for up to 3 passengers. Until Flamenco gets certified there does not appear to be any cheap way besides the ferry which will eat up so much time. let us know if you find out something that we have not heard of. Isla Nena is closed.

VAL may have flights. Nothing scheduled, however we had guests (3 sets) get on flights to Vieques from here in the last week.

Otherwise you ferry to Fajardo & then over to Culebra.

We successfully booked a flight this week with VAL from Vieques to Culebra, via the Ceiba airport near Fajardo. Total fare per person was $70 (one way).

This routing is not advertised on VAL's website; we had to book the ticket by calling their office in Vieques to male the reservation ... they even answered the phone!

So, you are flying from Vieques to Cieba and then on to Culebra, right?

Vicki: Yes, That's correct. The flight went from Vieques to Ceiba, stopped for about 20 minutes, then continued on to Culebra.
