2008 New Years Eve at Culebra

How good it is to be at Culebra for NEW Years Eve? Where does the party is at? What activities goes on? Does water sports and commerce closes? does the transportations(ferry/plane) closes on holidays? thank

It's very family oriented - good, clean fun at the ferry dock - a couple of salsa bands, lots of dancing and fireworks at midnight (sometimes a few minutes early - LOL!) Most places are open on NYE until noon, but closed on New Year's Day. I think the ferries and planes run on regular schedules, but best to check with them.

Last year Mamacita's was open New Years Day...I watched the Cotton Bowl there!

I know, I know. The forgotten holiday, and all. I blame Orlando. He was buying champagne by the bottle at the bar. At least Mizzou won...

What was a true shame was missing out on Walter and Gr8ful Dude's jamming. I was happy that that little travel guitar got a good workout!
