Getting to Culebra from San Juan

I'm coming to culebra this spring... flying in to san juan.

What is the best way to get from San Juan to culebra... taking a small plane or driving then taking the ferry?

Or are there other ways to get there.

We have done both the ferry and flown. My preference is to fly. Takes time to drive to Fajardo and you cannot buy your ferry tickets in advance. You can purchase your plane ticket in advance however. Cost to fly on Flamenco round trip is 100 dollars. To get a ride to Fajardo is about 50 to 75 dollars one way and then only about 5 dollars round trip ferry but about 90 minute ferry ride one way. To me a no brainer unless of course you want to experience the ferry.
