I spent Labor Day weekend in Culebra and had a wonderful time. That little island is blessed. It is amazing how all the stress disappears just upon arrival at the island. That being said, I have now officially started planning my next trip.
On this last trip all went well and as planned. However, I did have a very pleasant surprise. I made a last minute reservation for a villa in Costa Bonita and the experience was wonderful. I had stayed there before (when it was a Hotel) but this time it was much better.
The Costa Bonita Hotel used to be very expensive, but with the hotel gone, now I was able to rent directly from the owner of the villa. The owner offered a much more reasonable price, which included everything as before…except the daily maid service. The commodities of the unit, the views, the pool, and the facilities at this place are about the very best in Culebra. Without the hassles (and costs) of staying at a hotel, this place is for once, a great option to stay in Culebra.
