Culebrita

My daughter and I took an excursion to Culebrita from Fahardo on a power cat last summer and had a wonderful time. Culebrita is unreal!! I know I can take a water taxi over to Culebrita. Would it be feasible to spend the whole day and explore the island? We only walked a short distance to the pools. Those who hiked beyond the pools raved about how beautiful it was. Can the entire island be explored? Can you walk all the way around it, or is it too rocky in places? Is there some sort of map of Culebrita to explain all the beaches, sites, etc. TIA

Hi Vicki,
When my husband and I go to Çulebrita we take a 7am water taxi and ask them to come get us the last possible trip which is usually around 5pm. Not sure where your boat let you off. I didn't think there was anything beyond the baths so I am guessing they let you off closer to the baths. Tortuga beach is beautiful and you could hike up to the light house if you wanted to. We always packed a tarp to build shelter as there is very little shade there and some of the trees are poisonous so you don't want to be near them. Where our taxi let us off was a short hike to Tortuga and from there we hiked to the Baths.
